Use the equivalent regex with PCRE.
`[0-9]*` (and `\d*`) will output each integer, e.g.:
```bash
echo 17 | grep -o '[0-9]*'
```
Whereas `\d` will split it into digits, e.g.:
```bash
echo 17 | grep -oP '\d'
```
